Why do I need to register for the ASHL?
Every player must register online in order to be eligible to play a game in the ASHL. Registration is required to ensure that the ASHL has an accurate listing of all registered players as well as for insurance purposes. Once a player has registered their supplementary sport accident insurance coverage through Hockey Canada comes into effect.
Do I need to register every season I play?
Every player must register for every season. No exceptions will made to this requirement.
I play on more than one team, do I need to register for both?
For players that play on more than one team they must register for each team they play on.
What is the Players Bench?
The Player's Bench is an online portal that is built into the ASHL website. Currently the Players Bench provides players with the opportunity to view their registration history and make online payments towards ASHL teams that they are playing with.
Why do I need a username and password?
After your first time registering for the ASHL, you will have a Player's Bench account that will be used for all future registrations. Through the Players Bench, your registrations will be tracked as seasons progress which requires you to log-in using a unique username and password to avoid any duplicate records of your registration. Furthermore, the system will remember your unique personal details which will make registration quicker and more efficient!
How do I make an Online Payment?
Online payments can be made by logging into the Players Bench. Once you have logged in, simply identify the Team that you would like to make a payment for and click Make Payment. You will be taken to a screen that will allow you to make a Credit Card payment through VISA or MasterCard. If you would like to make a payment in person or by phone, please contact your facility.
Where do I register if I don’t have a team?
If you’re looking to register but don’t have a team, click the Free Agent Registration to register as an individual player. Once you have completed the registration process, the facility’s League Manager will contact you to provide you with further information about placing you on an individual team.
If I am playing in the ASHL in different facilities, do I need to register for both?
Players playing in multiple ASHL facilities must register for each team in each facility in order to be eligible to play.
